American Oak Stave, Medium Toast

Oak staves are approximately 1 cm square, 15 inches long. Made from seasoned American Oak and produced in the USA. Oak staves can be added to carboys or other fermenters.  With less end grain, the staves can provide a more softer oak character than chips or cubes. 

Medium plus toast is a little fuller and stronger than medium toast, and is a favorite of commercial wineries. Recommended usage is 1 stave (approximately 1.5 oz) per 5 gallons of wine or beer.
